Are you ready to start talking to your body as part of your wellness routine?!

The Healers Journal published work that provides great insight into how we can change our cells by changing our language aimed toward ourselves.

Russian scientists, linguists and geneticists researched how language can affect our DNA. They found that the genetic code (DNA) follows the same rules as language. They compared the rules of grammar…how sentences are constructed, rules to forming phrases and concluded that our DNA communicates according to similar rules as well. They found that our language, human language, was born from the language of our DNA. So, our language construct follows the rules of our DNA construct.

To lay an extra layer of intrigue upon this idea, in their book SuperGenes, Rudolph Tanzi and Deepak Chopra explain how our DNA can be imprinted with information passed down through our lineage.  For example, if your ancestors had a deep fear of something, or experienced a famine, or any other traumatic event was present prior to your birth, these imprints can be passed down through methylation markers left on the DNA of your parents, grandparents and even way back through your lineage.

That said… even these irrational ideas and feelings that are not our own (but actually occured to our ancestors) can be changed through lifestyle, meditation, diet and action.

A Russian biophysicist and molecular biologist Pjotr Garjajev and colleagues studied the vibrational frequency of DNA. They altered the frequency patterns onto a laser ray and changed the genetic information. His group found that chromosomes that that were damaged by x-rays, could be repaired and reprogrammed. This article in Ancient Code explains:

“According to Garjajev and his research team, this experiment aimed at the potential of vibration and frequency waves on genetics, which are believed to have greater influence on the formation of organisms than the biochemical processes of alkaline sequences.”

I’m such a huge a fan of Dr. Bruce Lipton!   His work is the foundation of the idea that cells are influenced by our environment and lifestyle down to the DNA itself, one of the originators and innovators in this field.  Yes, he believes that you absolutely can change your genetic expression by changing your lifestyle.  If you haven’t seen his work, or you need a reminder, this extensive talk about the Biology of Belief is so incredible:

Therese Wade MSc, offers helpful information on how to listen to your cells to promote cellular health, in her article, ‘Your Cells are Listening: How Talking To Your Body Can Help You Heal”

She states in THIS article many ideas to help you to talk to your cells.  A summary to get you started:

  • Approach your body with genuine compassion, understanding that it is made up of conscious cells who experience emotions.
  • Build trust by engaging your body in positive mental conversations about your desire for the two of you to cooperate and overcome the ailment.
  • Allow changes in the conversation by using different thoughts and words that elicit spontaneous elevated emotions.
