A Radical Forgiveness Process That Insantly Makes Life Lighter & More Magical

HoʻoponoponoHoʻoponopono I first learned about from my childhood best friend in New Jersey. She raved so much about the process of forgiveness that I was intrigued. The amazing thing about that instantly appealed to me: you can start it right now with absolutely no training.

Forgive everything and everyone – especially yourself- and you become so much lighter almost instantly.

Hoʻoponopono is the Hawaiian forgiving process and when translated it means, “to make right”. This is the process used by ancient Hawaiians to let go of harbored resentment and allow for forgiveness. The philosophy of Hoʻoponopono is based on the idea that when you are right with others, you are right with yourself. It can be learned in a matter of minutes and can be performed anywhere.  It’s been studied to assess it’s benefits, and it’s been found to be pretty amazing.

Here’s how to do it.  You can say these over and over again.  It feels so good, I do each step until I feel like I have each one really “done” and I feel lighter:

  1. First say, “I am sorry”, and recognize what you are sorry for doing or saying. If you are mad at yourself for over eating, acknowledge that you understand what you did was wrong and take responsibility for it. You can say something like, “I know it was wrong to over eat, I realize that now, and I am truly sorry.”
  1. Next, ask for forgiveness. When asking for forgiveness it is important to have all your intention on truly being forgiven. Say this over and over. “Please forgive me.”
  1. Then, say “Thank You!” You can thank yourself, any deities, the sun…just keep repeating “Thank you.”
  1. Lastly, say “I love you.” Say I love you to yourself, whatever or whoever you need to forgive,  and anything else you choose. Say it like you mean it!

The benefits include:

  • Inner peace
  • Stress relief
  • Enhanced confidence
  • Improves relationships with others
  • Attracts positive coincidences
  • Helps let go of memories of the past

Forgive until you’re floating in bliss. That’s the space-making that makes miracles happen!

Meant to say “letting go” not “letting good.” I love autocorrect. I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
