Feng Shui Bedroom Texture Love!

No matter who you are, your bedroom could use some soft.  Fringe, fabric, wall-coverings, headboards, rugs… even soft light all create a feeling of being supported as you sleep. Since we rejuvenate our energy and psyche, our cellular body and even protect our genetics as we sleep, it is a very big deal to have lots of great bedroom feng shui!  Here is a round-up of softer touches for bedrooms that make me want to sleep more, right now!

A simple thing like a soft woven basket make this room settle in much more. FYI: for better feng shui, the art overhead that is resting on the headboard here needs to go away!  Don’t dangle things precariously over your head as you sleep.

Fiber, fluff and neutral tones create layers of nesting softness.

Dual softy throws make this otherwise cerebral, tongue-in-cheek bedroom feel loving and cozy. Note: I would not put this over a bed or in a bedroom; much more right for an office to have “thinking” rather than “feeling” text statements.

Let’s hear it for velvet!  Velvety pillows, velvety throws… even velvet curtains are rare and divine.

And easy, effortless soft is achieved with a faux sheepskin on top of a bed rather than on the floor.

Casual or formal, designed or just appointed with the basics, some soft is key for a feng shui’d bedroom that supports your love for you as well as all the love in your life!  xoxo Dana

Hi Dana! Quick question: if you had to pick a location for your bedroom would you pick the relationship corner of the bagua or the helpful people and travel area? Entrance of the apartment is in the knowledge area. (The first option sounds more right to me, but both the boyfriend and me would like us some travel too!)

Thank you! Hope you’re enjoying your summer!

Thank you! 🙂

Oops, sorry for posting again, but since I’m no expert, the entrance could also be in the family area and the knowledge area is missing for the apartment! Don’t know if it makes a difference to my question though.
