Growing up, yellow was eveywhere in New Jersey. We had gold carpets- the color of the sleek headboard above- going through most of the house. There was (sadly) striped yellow and white wallpaper in my childhood bedroom, and I had a love/hate relationship with those walls. My true love: yellow art. And yellow accessories. And more of the golden goodies that make for a warm, sophisticated glow!
I sang this song with my godmother while she taught me to crochet, and it still makes me smile and feel like a huge hug today!
Gold is not often used today, but it is immensely sophisticated.
Yellow chairs and table: this picture is a ode to my latest design project! I can’t wait to show you how the lemony chairs light up a windowless area of a room!
Stunning yellow tub! I’m astonished by the beauty of every element of this bathroom. The tub alone is a masterpiece!
Yellow in a feng shui sense is not always a color we grab for— it is an earth tone for some, but not all of us. If you live by yellow sand beaches, you will associate more yellow with Earth itself. For some of us, yellow is a nature color; the color of the sun, a strange bit of fire that is mellow and soft. For everyone, yellow adds heat. I find yellow to be utterly sophisticated, golden and inimitable!
Use color to light up your life with purpose, and simmer your intention to great heights! xoxo Dana
