I used to be a non-believer. I used to think. “Eh, it’s just some moisturizer.”
And then I switched to non-toxic lotions and plain old coconut oil. My skin changed. My allergies decreased.
Perhaps the truth that you skin is an organ that does actually absorb whatever you put on it… was true!
Next came my shampoo. No sulfates and no fragrances and my eyes were less puffy. My hair became stronger and glossier.
I thought I would share a few of the things that have really worked for me as I made the switch from chemicals to much more natural and conscious beauty, in hopes to inspire you to inch yourself further toward less toxins and more energy!
The natural beauty stuff that works for me:
And from there, little-by-little I made the switch over to truly amazing non-toxic beauty.
I use natural castor oil for lots of things, inducing removing makeup and moisturizing my hair.
I wash my face with a soap with a few natural ingredients from Trader Joe’s, and a Clarisonic brush.
I put vitamin E oil on my face before bed.
I mix up my own detox baths and take them often.
I put ice cubes wrapped in a cloth on puffy eyes when I lose sleep instead of wild chemicals.
My wavy-curly hair gets washed with sulfate-free shampoo and lots of natural mixes (more here!)
And I have honestly not looked & felt better in ages.

And of course, eating, sleeping, moving, creating and being happier are a big beauty bonus you just can’t buy!
