Playing Uno with my grandma, learning the tricky stitches of crochet with my godmother, walking with my father on the dustry trails of Encinitas, having tea with my mother… All these things I remember so much more vividly than the scores of movie premieres and celebrity soaked parties of the last ten years. Its funny. Its not that the flashy and the wild are bad things, they just aren’t as indelible as real connection to life in my mind. Sitting with my tea as the sun comes through the window to light up the mandarin oranges on my table while my little dog sleeps beside me, I am just fine with everything as it is right now.
Do you enjoy enough of the little things? If you are distracted by the future or worries of the past, here are some ideas to help you to get more present and enjoy today as it unfolds…! xoxo Dana
