This little guy exclusively does what he wants to do, and when he doesn’t want to wake up in the morning, he doesn’t wake up! There’s a lot to be said for simplicity, and this week’s Instagram is all about making the best of moments as they are.
I was a bit more than a little under the weather, and found these books on a table as I waited to see my genius acupuncturist. Yes, we have innovated a whole lot in medicine, but the classics stay the same. I am a fan of finding something to know in the midst of a bad time!
Bob also had a little hiccup that needed the vet’s attention. And as soon as I pull out a camera, this guy livens up! Yes, he’s the only dog I know who feels better at the vet if he is being photographed! And so, we made the best of it… and he’s totally fine now, too!
I’ve been missing lots of the people I love, and Valentine’s Day is creeping up. In honor of the loved and lost, and the loved and just not in my life, I decided to do a slew of Valentine art type things to be more OK with what the future holds… So, why not some gorgeous jello hearts made of cherry juice and coconut milk?
Engrossed in a design project, I have been dreaming of these chairs in a ainbow of colors for a giant table. And, there they were on the street, waiting. The funny thing is, sometimes the complex and cool solution – a grip of multicolored chairs- are not actually comfortable to sit in and fuction in real life. This taght me a lesson in fuction as well as form.
I am astonished that these guys made their home on Wilshire Boulevard across from LACMA. Tons of them, all flocking to the food trucks and hanging out in the hue fountains. Talk about making the best of what you have- they get free meals, a bath, and a piec of prime real estate…!
In slowing down and seeing things for what they are, as they are, everything is becomes a bit less heady and a bit more organic. If everything happens for a reason, why can’t we make the best of what we have? xoxo Dana
