While I’m waiting for this batch to steep, I thought it was worth sharing my little “I Have A Cold” broth. After an hour of acupuncture I still feel, well… not good… so, here’s the recipe that is cooking up:
“I Have A Cold” Broth
- A big finger of ginger
- A piece of turmeric (or turmeric spice… though I prefer the root, raw, if it can be found!)
- Fresh cilantro
- You can add fresh basil, too, but today I wasn’t feeling it.
- You can also add onion, but that’s not what I felt like sipping today, either!
Add everything to a large pot of boiling water and let it go for a minute or two, then shut off the heat and let it steep. Strain into a cup and sip, adding some sea salt and/or cayenne as your particular cold demands!
This all day plus very light food plus tons of water plus sleep = cured! If not right away, much more quickly!
