Create A Memorable Mantel!

mantle

(a Lonny mantel that shines!)

Art, mirrors, clever knickknacks and decisive nature: there are many ways to style a mantel to make it memorable.  Mantels are the fire core of a home, and in a feng shui sense, they should be the personalized heart of the home.  Here are some brilliant ideas to make your mantle work for you!

Mirrors are a big power move for a mantel.  For starters, be sure they are extremely secure, and always sparkling clean.

While I am not a huge advocate of the indoor cactus, I am all about making your space connect to your stylish soul.  Southwestern simple chic shines here in terms of personality.  Swap out the spikes on a succulent for some golden fire utensils (you know, pokers and such) and a big more colored pottery/earthenware could set this to ideal in my mind.

Lacquer your fireplace in a deep shiny coat of paint and you create drama and focus that is unparalleled!

Symmetry on both sides adds balance. The massive pine cones create a delightful bit of natural energy to the mix. Bright pink softens everything up just enough to be inviting.

If you have a mantel, do not neglect it.  You have the opportunity to create so much focus and attention in your space with simple and personal decor shifts!  xoxo Dana
