Heathy Habit Of The Week: Volunteer!

Stress seems to be the leading factor in every sort of emotional and physical malady that exists.  Sometimes, a focus strictly on yourself can be stressful in and of itself.  Volunteering a bit of time (a few hours a week? or even a few hours a month?) to a cause that you believe in can help to reduce stress and increase self-esteem. 

Another thing about volunteering your time: it helps to connect you to like-minded people who share your interests. The more we connect to our environment, the more we feel stable and secure, rather than isolated and misunderstood.

Oh, yes, and volunteering is an awesome cause to make for your karmic good!

I know people who “over-volunteer” and destroy their well-being by giving too much of their life over to a cause.  Its not healthy to “overdo” anything, even good things.  Too much of anything can be bad. So be moderate & consistent and you just might be amazed at how great your feel and how much you can affect change in your life!
