Snow White & The Purity Of Your Life!

One of the least talked-about colors these days in decor is snow white, yet it has almost mystical coolness.  Pure white is one of those “colors” that, when used with a strategy in your home design, can light up a space and add a sense of purity, freshness and even spirituality.  I thought I’d give you a few ideas to use snow white to your best  decor advantage!

Here, white goes over the cliff to blinding brightness.  Its like staring into the sun. Too much pure white aggrivates physical issues like anxiety, headaches and emotional coldness.  I thought I’d kick off with this example so we can move beyond it into white done more feng shui’d right!

Now, a splash of white like this vase of hydrangeas does the trick to focus a room without washing away its radiance and life force.

A pure white lacquer table, console or armoire will bring a stately gloss to a room.  White corresponds to the element of metal and metal is the element of good taste and aesthetic discrimination.

And while a blue bedroom is not the sexiest in my opinion, this room does wonders to demonstrate the clean and mystic power of pure white.  Imagine if the bed were wood, or beige…not the same room, right?!

Tip: To start with white, try spray painting a mirror or some old picture frames in high gloss pure white and them sealing them with a glossy top coat.  Divine!

While passion is always great (in terms of fire colors), a marriage needs stability at its core. nature and a good mix of neutrals along with fire is great!
